Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team and ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. Duties

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts using various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to ensure consistency across all financial statements.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently and accurately.
  • Prepare and record journal entries, including debits & credits, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with GAAP.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliation regularly to verify asset, liability, and equity account accuracy.
  • Support payroll processing by managing related transactions and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
  • Assist in budgeting processes and provide detailed account analysis to support financial decision-making.
  • Generate financial reports, including income statements, cash flow statements, and other management reports for internal review.
  • Ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards when applicable, including grant or non-profit accounting procedures.
  • Perform double entry bookkeeping tasks diligently to maintain the integrity of all financial data.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or Quicken is essential.
  • Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, GAAP standards, and governmental accounting practices if applicable.
  • Familiarity with non-profit accounting processes is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability in bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, general ledger accounting, and balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Knowledge of technical accounting concepts including journal entries, account analysis, and double entry bookkeeping.
  • Experience handling accounts payable and receivable workflows along with payroll processing is preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail with proficiency in 10 key typing for data entry accuracy.
  • Ability to interpret financial concepts clearly and write comprehensive financial reports.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
