Vintage Threads is the UK’s leading pre loved premium retailer, offering a curated mix of vintage designer, streetwear, rework, and one off pieces. With two London stores, a Selfridges concession, and a fast expanding VT Rework label worn by musicians and actors, we are now opening our first European store in Amsterdam. Our mission is simple: push vintage culture forward through craft, creativity, and community.
Supervisor
Role Overview
The Store Supervisor is a key leader in delivering an elevated Vintage Threads experience on the shop floor. You will support the Store Manager in daily operations, motivate the team, uphold brand standards, and ensure every customer walks away feeling inspired. This role is hands on, energetic, and perfect for someone passionate about vintage fashion and building a community around it.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Experience
Lead by example in delivering outstanding, authentic customer service.
Support staff to create a warm, welcoming environment for local customers and international visitors.
Resolve customer queries or issues with confidence and professionalism.
Champion product knowledge across vintage, rework, and designer categories.
Team Leadership & Development
Supervise daily team operations and act as the lead when the Store Manager is off shift.
Provide real time coaching, feedback, and motivation.
Help onboard and train new staff to VT standards, with a focus on our values: relentless improvement, authenticity, and innovation.
Support in scheduling and managing staff breaks.
Store Operations
Maintain strong visual merchandising standards in line with brand guidelines.
Assist with stock processing, replenishment, and organisation of the back of house.
Ensure cleanliness and organisation across all store areas.
Support with opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and daily reporting.
Help drive weekly store and individual KPIs.
VT Rework & Brand Culture
Promote and educate customers on VT Rework and the story behind our studio creations.
Contribute ideas for in store activations, visuals, and improvements.
Be an ambassador for Vintage Threads in Amsterdam by fostering relationships with local creatives, communities, and customers.
Skills & Experience Required
Previous retail experience is essential, ideally in fashion, vintage, or streetwear.
Experience supervising or leading a team is preferred.
Strong communication and people skills.
Confident handling busy store environments and problem solving on the spot.
Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
Passion for sustainability, vintage culture, and emerging fashion trends.
