Key Responsibilities
- Develop and formulate new powder based food and beverage products from concept to launch
- Invent new flavours, formats, and concepts based on market trends and consumer behaviour
- Translate creative ideas into scalable, cost effective formulations
- Source and evaluate raw materials and ingredient suppliers]
- Run bench top, pilot, and production scale trials
- Ensure formulations are scalable, repeatable, and production ready\
- Document formulations, specifications, and processes
- Optimise existing products for cost, quality, and performance
- Support regulatory, halal, and food safety documentation where required
- Track and understand Malaysian F&B and beverage market trends, competitors, and consumer preferences
Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent experience in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or related fields
- 2 to 5 years hands on experience in product development, formulation, or ingredient R&D
- Strong understanding of powder systems, flavour systems, and functional ingredients
- Creative mindset with the ability to invent and iterate new product ideas
- Strong awareness of the Malaysian beverage and F&B market
- Experience with scale up from lab to factory
- Practical, execution driven, and commercially aware
- Able to work independently in a fast paced environment
- Good communication in English. Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage
Preferred
- Experience in powder beverages, instant drinks, or functional beverages
- Experience working with manufacturers or co packers
- Experience with Southeast Asian flavour profiles and trends
