Responsibilities
- Safely operate a van to transport goods to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff
- Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate work records and complete necessary paperwork.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
- Assist with basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle maintenance as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to optimise routes and schedules.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role,with van driving experience.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to address minor vehicle issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
- Ability to drive various types of vans
- A valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle class required for the job.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail in completing delivery tasks. IT literal and ability to think on feet
