Are you an experienced Gate Automation professional looking for a hands-on role with real variety and nationwide exposure?
Xenon is expanding its automated gates and barrier portfolio, and we’re now seeking a Gate Automation Specialist to support the installation, maintenance, and servicing of our growing client base across Ireland.
This role is ideal for a practical, mechanically and electrically minded technician who enjoys working independently, solving problems on site, and delivering high-quality, reliable solutions. While the role is field-based, you’ll be fully supported by our Leinster-based operations team and work alongside experienced fire and security engineers.
What You’ll Do
- Install, service, maintain, and repair a wide range of automated access systems, including Sliding gates, cantilever gates, Swing gates, bollards and barriers.
- Diagnose and fault-find mechanical and electrical issues on automated gate and barrier systems.
- Carry out preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across a diverse portfolio of sites nationwide.
- Ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant standards and best practice.
- Liaise professionally with clients, site managers, and internal teams.
- Complete service reports and documentation accurately and on time.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in gate automation, automated barriers, bollards, or similar access control systems.
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of jobs from start to finish.
- Strong attention to detail and a safety-first mindset.
- Good communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach.
- Experience or knowledge of fire and/or electronic security systems (CCTV, access control, intruder alarms) is a distinct advantage.
Additional Information
- Location: Field-based role covering Ireland (primarily Leinster, with nationwide travel as required).
- Licence: Full EU driver’s licence required (company vehicle provided).
