Description
We are recruiting a Mining Equipment Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mining machinery. The role involves working with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems while ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect mining equipment regularly and identify faults
- Perform repairs and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime
- Maintain accurate records of service and maintenance activities
- Follow company policies and safety regulations
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve production facilities
- Recommend replacement of worn or faulty parts
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a heavy equipment mechanic (mining industry experience preferred)
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic systems
- Familiarity with different types of mining equipment
- Knowledge of safety procedures for operating and repairing heavy machinery
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
- Minimum secondary education or equivalent; vocational or technical certification is an advantage
