IT Support Intern

This is a paid, full-time internship opportunity.

  • Opera is looking for an IT Support Intern to join our Company IT team responsible for keeping the Opera workforce productive and well-equipped. This role is ideal for someone passionate about IT, eager to learn, and comfortable juggling a variety of small tasks throughout the day._
  • You'll be part of a small, hands-on team that interfaces directly with all Opera employees, managing their tech needs and ensuring our internal systems and equipment operate seamlessly. This internship is a fantastic stepping stone for a long-term career in IT or System Administration._

Role & Responsibilities:

  • IT equipment & license lifecycle ownership - ordering, provisioning, troubleshooting, repairing, and deprovisioning laptops, peripherals, and software licenses, ensuring accurate tracking and availability.
  • User onboarding & offboarding support - preparing equipment and accounts, ensuring smooth starts and exits for employees and contractors.
  • Internal systems support & improvement - supporting and contributing to the development of internal IT systems, including basic scripting and automation of repetitive tasks.
  • Vendor & service collaboration - cooperating with external vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve hardware, software, and service-related issues efficiently.

Job Requirements:

  • Technical knowledge: at least 2 out of 3 operating systems (macOS, Linux, Windows) and basic networking knowledge,
  • Hardware skills: ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and maintain laptops, peripherals, and other end-user equipment,
  • Communication skills: fluent in English and Polish (written and spoken), able to support users with varying technical levels,
  • Proactive and learning-oriented mindset: service-oriented, adaptable, empathetic, and eager to develop IT skills,
  • Desirable technical skills and background: familiarity with scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python), experience with ticketing systems and knowledge bases, knowledge of configuration management tools, interest in hardware trends, and a technical education (technical high school, IT technician, ICT, automatics & robotics or similar ). Student status is a plus.
