Pharmac | Te Pātaka Whaioranga is embarking on a multi-year transformation programme to modernise our core systems, data architecture, and ways of working. We’re seeking a dynamic and people-focused Change Manager to lead the change management approach for our Data and Digital Programme.
About the Role | Mō tēnei tūranga
As the Data & Digital Programme Change Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how new tools, processes, and capabilities are embedded across Pharmac. You’ll work closely with programme leadership, business owners, clinical and analytical teams, and external partners to develop and deliver change strategies that build understanding, readiness, and capability throughout the organisation and wider sector.
Your leadership will ensure change impacts are clearly assessed, risks are managed, and communication, engagement, training, and adoption activities are coordinated to support both immediate transition and long-term organisational goals.
You will:
- Develop and implement change management strategies that maximise adoption and minimise resistance
- Lead impact and readiness assessments, stakeholder analyses, and risk mitigation for change-related risks
- Manage communications, engagement, and training plans for internal and external stakeholders
- Provide coaching and support to managers and leaders as they guide their teams through change
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of change initiatives, adjusting strategies as needed
- Collaborate with external partners to identify adoption barriers and design solutions
- Ensure changes are embedded and benefits are realised and sustained
Who are we looking for? | Mā** wai te mahi nei?
- Relevant tertiary qualification in change management, organisational development, communications, or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated experience leading change management for complex programmes, ideally in data and digital environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, both written and oral
- Ability to influence and build relationships at all levels
- Strong understanding of change management principles, methodologies, and tools (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR)
- Experience developing and delivering change management and communication plans
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
- Collaborative, flexible, and proactive approach
