Tenei turanga - About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Executive Assistant to provide executive support to the General Manager and Leadership Team of the Communications and Government Services branch within Strategy and Assurance Group at MBIE.
Working in a dynamic and changing environment, you will be responsible for diary and event management, recruitment support, meeting secretariat, monitoring communication, preparing documents, arranging travel, supporting budgeting and approval processes and other executive support duties all while working collaboratively with a wider support team. This is an important role so your ability to think on your feet, be agile and proactive and add value to the work of the Communications Government team will be critical.
A strong focus on continuous improvement is important as well as the ability to build a strong understanding of the Communications and Government Services branch within Strategy and Assurance Group at MBIE. You will maintain effective internal and external relationships, deal with high level, urgent issues and work effectively with the teams as needed.
Please note the role is part time 0.6 FTE and days and hours worked are negotiable.

- The ability to quickly establish and build strong working relationships and to develop trust and credibility with senior managers, staff and key internal and external stakeholders
- Exceptional teamwork and collaborative abilities and a willingness to share knowledge and expertise with others
- Highly developed communication and writing skills
- Previous experience working in the public sector is a strong advantage
- Must have legal right to live and work in NZ
