Description
A TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher) Physical Education Teacher develops and implements age-appropriate, engaging PE curricula to promote physical health, sportsmanship, and teamwork. Responsibilities include instructing, coaching, evaluating student progress, organizing school sports events, ensuring safety, and fostering a positive, inclusive environment. Required qualifications typically include a B.P.Ed/B.P.E.S degree.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Curriculum Development & Instruction: Design and deliver physical education lessons in line with CBSE or relevant curriculum standards.
- Physical Training & Sports Coaching: Conduct, instruct, and coach in various physical activities, sports (e.g., volleyball, soccer), and exercises, including yoga or fitness sessions.
- Safety Management: Ensure strict safety standards, maintain sports equipment, and supervise students during playtime, sports events, and PE classes.
- Assessment & Evaluation: Assess student physical development, evaluate performance, and maintain accurate records of student achievements and attendance.
- Event Coordination: Organize annual sports days, inter-house, and inter-school competitions.
- Collaboration: Work with other staff members to integrate physical activity into the school culture.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed) or Bachelor’s in Physical Education and Sports (B.P.E.S) from a recognized university.
- Experience: 1-3+ years of teaching or coaching experience in a school environment.
- Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal skills, classroom management, and ability to foster discipline.
Working Conditions
- Full-time, permanent position, often requiring presence during morning assemblies and extracurricular events.
Pay: From ₹8,000.00 per month
