We’re looking for a friendly, reliable Cafe Team Member to join our fast-paced, casual lunch bar/Cafe in Murarrie.

If you enjoy working in hospitality but are over late nights, weekend shifts, and unpredictable hours — this role offers structure, daytime shifts, and a positive team environment where good work is valued.

The Role

As a Cafe Team Member, you’ll play a key role in daily service, with a strong focus on coffee preparation while also supporting food service, customer experience, and general café/lunchbar operations.

We serve a loyal local crowd from the industrial precinct—think great coffee, breakfast wraps, toasties, burgers, salads, and grab-and-go items done well.

Shift & Hours

  • Work Days: Monday to Friday
  • Shift Options:

  • Morning Shift:8:00am - 12:00pm:

  • Afternoon Shift:10:00am - 2:00pm:

  • Hours: Part-time, with consistent weekly shifts

  • Opportunity to increase hours over time based on performance and availability

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve high-quality espresso coffee and beverages
  • Provide friendly, efficient customer service
  • Assist with food and beverage preparation
  • Support kitchen prep, service flow, and basic cooking tasks
  • Maintain cleanliness across FOH and BOH areas
  • Restock items, assist with setup and close-down
  • Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace procedures
  • Work closely with Senior Cafe Team Members and the Cafe Team Leader
  • Position Description will be shared after first meeting

Who You Are

  • Barista experience is essential (confident on espresso machine)
  • Some experience in a café, lunch bar, or takeaway environment
  • Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced service environment
  • Willing to learn and take direction
  • Takes pride in cleanliness, consistency, and presentation

  • Pay Rate: $18 - $27 per hour depending on experience
