ITS Vice Presidency Context:
ITSFD OutSystems Architect Position
The ITS Fiduciary Operations Unit (ITSFD) supports digital solutions for Procurement, Financial Management, and Environmental and Social Safeguards across Bank Operations. It provides integrated, efficient tools that enable borrowers and staff to ensure compliance with fiduciary requirements, financial audits, and environmental and social safeguards.
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and delivery of enterprise-grade solutions using OutSystems.
- Define and maintain the technical vision for OutSystems ecosystems, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
- Address complex challenges in systems integration, multi-platform compatibility, and data interoperability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions meet organizational goals and user experience standards.
- Establish and enforce governance frameworks, coding standards, and best practices for OutSystems development.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and platform capabilities to continuously improve solution architecture.
- Define strategic design and planning for the overall structure of the enterprise scale system based on business needs.
- Structure the architecture so that modules remain independent, with dependencies clearly defined in a layered format.
- Oversee the solution architecture for OutSystems and microservices, with an emphasis on security, scalability, and maintainability.
- Establish, maintain and enforce architecture standards, design patterns, integration patterns, and coding guidelines for the platform.
- Define a comprehensive technology roadmap for the OutSystems platform to ensure long-term adoption, including the rollout strategy, integration approach, and the design and development of reusable components.
- DevSecOps pipelines supporting both OutSystems and pro-code components, encompassing APIs, event-driven processes, and data integration.
- Leads technical design sessions to translate high-level business capabilities and processes into standardized, composable, and reusable OutSystems components and accelerators.
- Govern platform usage, including environment strategy, ALM, code quality, and performance optimization; establish guardrails and best practices for development team.
- Design and implement integrations with enterprise systems (e.g., ServiceNow, SAP, Azure AD, data lakes), ensuring compliance with security, privacy, and data governance requirements.
- Provide hands-on leadership for complex builds, including connectors, and custom controls; perform code reviews and solution assurance.
- Drive observability and reliability (logging, monitoring, tracing, SLOs) and ensure robust automated testing across OutSystems and integrated components.
- Mentor engineering teams and uplift platform engineering practices; contribute to a strong product and engineering culture.
- Contributes to and fosters a strong product and engineering culture of quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Product Development & Agile Execution
- Partners with Product Managers and Developers to prioritize technical enablers, manage technical debt, and evolve the target architecture and roadmap.
- Define and prioritize MVP scope and backlog based on value, risk, and dependencies; manage the product lifecycle with data-driven, agile planning.
- Align team backlogs with ART Program Backlog and PI objectives; actively contribute to PI Planning, Iteration Planning, Reviews, and Daily Stand-ups.
- Support System Demos and Inspect & Adapt workshops to drive continuous improvement and value realization.
- Guide product and solution direction by leveraging usage analytics, platform telemetry, and business KPIs.
- Use platform capabilities and business priorities to effectively shape and manage the solution backlog.
- Make informed decisions on platform trade-offs, scalability, and integration strategies in collaboration with solution architects, developers, and business stakeholders.
- Continuously build LCNC platform expertise, governance practices, and architectural patterns to ensure sustainable adoption.
- Quickly learn new technical and domain knowledge to adjust product strategies and effectively address changing stakeholder needs.
