Fanning Electrical & Solar is a Kilkenny-based electrical and renewable energy contractor specialising in Solar PV installations, EV charging points, battery storage systems, LED lighting upgrades, and a full range of electrical services.
We operate throughout Leinster and the South East, delivering projects for homeowners, commercial clients, property management companies, and industrial facilities — from private residences to large-scale commercial and specialist environments.
As part of our continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Solar PV Installer to strengthen our installation team.
The Role
You will be part of a hands-on installation crew delivering high-quality Solar PV systems across residential and commercial sites. The role involves working at height, collaborating with electricians and project managers, and ensuring all installations are completed safely, efficiently, and to industry standards.
Main Duties
- Install roof-mounted and ground-mounted Solar PV systems
- Work closely with the electrical team to ensure smooth project delivery
- Ensure all works are completed in line with current regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
- Liaise with customers on-site in a professional and helpful manner
- Complete all relevant installation reports and documentation
- Meet project timelines while maintaining quality workmanship
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working at height (essential)
- Strong understanding of fall-arrest systems and site safety procedures
- Roofing or similar trade background desirable, but not essential
- Good knowledge of Health & Safety regulations
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work to high standards
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Full Irish driving licence preferred
Location:
Pay: €40,000.00-€55,000.00 per year
