We are Red Umbrella Tours - a company founded in Helsinki, Finland in 2018. We offer high quality tours to customers from all over the world.
In February 2026, we branched out our operations to include Oslo, Norway - to service the increasing cross-border tourism.
Due to further increased demand, we are now looking for more English and Spanish speaking guides in Oslo.
What makes a great guide?
You should have a love for Oslo, a TRUE LOVE for the city - and you should want to showcase this to your customers in the best way possible, on each and every tour. Our high quality tours include a range of topics - from Architecture, to History, to Stories of how the city of Oslo grew, Our Culture, and much more.
You should be CONFIDENT and FLUENT in either English or Spanish language, as these are the primary language of the tours. Leading large groups in the center of Oslo with a microphone and being the center of attention is almost guaranteed. You should therefore ask yourself before applying, if this sounds like something you can do.
WE OFFER FREE TRAINING - which can be completed in under a week. You do NOT have to have experience as a guide. From when you read this, in less than a week you can be leading tours in Oslo! We give Free Tour Materials - such as speakers, folders, photos and more. Everything you need to start as a guide, with no investment and no risk to you.
Guides work as Self Employed - and we invoice you for the customers that you have received on the tour. Our guides consistently make over 800 NOK per 2.5 hour tour, and in addition you can also earn referral bonuses. This should be considered as a part time position - as income is variable. However we offer tours over 3 times a day, so there is potential to make a great income.
Suitable for Students, Unemployed, or those with existing part time employment.
