About the role
Balfour Beatty are looking for an Occupational Health Coordinator to join our team, based at our Quorum office in Newcastle upon Tyne. Flexible working patterns are available.
As an Occupational Health Coordinator, you will develop the skills, knowledge and experience required to support the Balfour Beatty Health Team and our projects across the UK. You’ll play a key role in driving Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) performance by providing efficient, accurate and proactive support to help us meet — and where possible exceed — operational requirements in line with our Zero Harm objectives.
In this role, you will support the smooth and effective delivery of our occupational health services, including coordinating health surveillance, managing appointment bookings and reports, and working closely with operational teams to ensure risks are identified and the correct assessments are arranged. You’ll be part of an integrated Health Team that brings together Occupational Health, Hygiene and Wellbeing to deliver positive health outcomes across the business
What you'll be doing
- Support the delivery of the health and wellbeing strategy for the UK.
- Support delivery of a full and proactive health and wellbeing service throughout the UK business.
- Maintain confidentiality in line with The Data Protection Act.
- Build effective working relationships with customer and relevant contracts ensuring high standards of communication.
- Act as point of contact for support in booking medicals through our contracts.
- Provide an escalation point between customers and contracts ensuring high standards of support and confidentiality.
- Prioritise work accordingly and maintain all relevant SLA’s.
- Collaborate with other teams relating to the booking of management referrals.
- Support the business with their D&A procedure and reporting.
- Manage the Rail PTS recall medical procedure.
- Manage the HAVS Diagnosis procedure.
- Provide monthly compliance reporting
Who we're looking for
The following qualities/experience are essential:
- Analytical skills with an attention to detail.
- Confidence with IT including Excel and PowerPoint as well as internal data
management systems. - Excellent communicator.
- Experience in providing administration support.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Self-motivated and proactive.
- Able to prioritise workload and deadline oriented.
- Team player.
