Pattern Maker - Job Description
A skilled Pattern Maker responsible for creating, modifying, and grading garment patterns to ensure accurate fit, construction efficiency, and production readiness. Collaborates closely with designers, sample makers, and production teams to translate design concepts into precise technical patterns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop first patterns based on sketches, tech packs, or design concepts
- Create digital or manual patterns using CAD software or hand drafting
- Conduct pattern grading for different sizes
- Collaborate with sample makers to refine fit and construction
- Attend fittings and make necessary pattern adjustments
- Ensure patterns meet production standards and cost efficiency
- Maintain detailed documentation and pattern libraries
- Troubleshoot construction and fit issues before mass production
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of garment construction and fit
- Proficiency in pattern-making software (e.g., Gerber, Lectra, Optitex)
- Excellent understanding of fabrics and how they behave
- High attention to detail and precision
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and tech packs
- Experience in apparel production or fashion manufacturing preferred
Pay: KD11.000 - KD22.000 per month
