Job Summary
Responsibilities
- Designing and creating bespoke floral arrangements for events, weddings, funerals, and retail sales
- Assisting customers in selecting flowers and related products, offering expert advice on floral care and arrangement options
- Managing stock levels, including ordering and replenishing flowers, foliage, and accessories
- Organising displays and merchandising to optimise visual appeal and sales potential
- Supervising staff, providing guidance on floral techniques and customer service standards
- Handling administrative tasks such as processing sales transactions, maintaining records, and managing deliveries
- Ensuring the shop maintains high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and safety at all times
- Developing new floral designs in line with current trends and seasonal themes
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Florist Manager or in a similar floral design role; management or supervisory experience is highly desirable
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Excellent communication skills; fluency in multiple languages is an advantage
- Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
- Experience in retail management, sales management, or merchandising is beneficial
- Good time management skills to meet deadlines during busy periods
- Administrative experience including handling orders, invoicing, and stock control
- Exceptional phone etiquette and customer service skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Organised with keen attention to detail in floral arrangement presentation and shop display standards
