Description
Provides fire inspection services within assigned area of responsibility. Inspects fire protection devices, systems and procedures to ensure proper operation and compliance with applicable standards and requirements. Plans, schedules, and conducts training programs for all functional areas of the Fire/Security Section. Maintains training reference files, directives, office instructions, lesson plans, training aids, and training records. Responds to emergencies, evaluates operational procedures, acts as safety officer, assists with rescue, fire suppression and overhaul when directed. May function as a firefighter to supplement existing personnel when required.
As directed by management, may supervise employees or subcontractor personnel in accordance with the “General Supervisory Duties and Responsibilities” addendum.
Basic Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and nine (9) years to twelve (12) years related experience.
Other Job Requirements:
Requires the job knowledge, skill level and physical ability necessary to perform assigned job functions.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must have a Secret Security Clearance
The Fire Protection Inspector is a multi-site resource traveling between sites to perform inspections, reviews, and training.
Must be NICET Level II certified
Position may be located in a wide variety of environments, from conventional indoor office workspace to project worksites with harsh, working and living conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior military and/or contingency experience.
Must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located.
