Description
The CEO will provide executive leadership to drive the strategic growth, operational excellence, and financial performance of the company within the energy sector (e.g., power generation, oil & gas, renewables, or integrated energy services). The CEO will ensure reliable, safe, and sustainable energy operations while aligning the organization with national energy‑transition goals and shareholder objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic leadership & vision
- Define and execute the company’s long‑term energy strategy (generation, distribution, renewables, or specific portfolio).
- Identify new markets, technologies, and business models (e.g., solar, wind, hybrid systems, storage, or hydrogen) to support growth and decarbonization.
- Represent the company with government agencies, regulators, and industry bodies to influence policy and licensing.
Operations & performance
- Oversee the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of power plants, energy facilities, or service operations, ensuring high availability and minimized downtime.
- Monitor operational and financial KPIs (capacity factor, unit cost, safety performance, emissions) and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety (EHS), and technical standards, including permits and grid‑code requirements.
- Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Energy, Business, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA/MPA) preferred.
- 15+ years of experience in the energy sector, with 8-10 years in senior executive or general‑management roles (Operations, Commercial, or Project leadership).
- Proven track record in leading power plants, oil & gas facilities, or renewable‑energy portfolios, including project development and operations.
- Strong understanding of energy‑market dynamics, regulatory frameworks, Omani/GCC energy policies, and ESG/sustainability expectations.
Pay: RO40.000 - RO50.000 per hour
