Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver structured daily lessons based on the student's syllabus, learning ability, and academic needs.
  • Assist students with homework, class assignments, project work, and exam preparation to improve their academic performance.
  • Use activity-based learning methods, visual aids, worksheets, and practical examples to make learning more engaging and easier to understand.
  • Track student progress through regular assessments, tests, and revision sessions.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents and institute coordinators regarding student performance, improvement areas, and behavioural observations.
  • Create a supportive and positive learning environment that encourages students to ask questions and build confidence.
  • Handle students patiently, especially those who may have learning difficulties, attention challenges, or slow learning pace.
  • Maintain proper records of attendance, performance reports, and daily learning activities.
  • Ensure discipline, focus, and proper classroom behaviour during tutoring hours.
  • Prepare study materials such as practice worksheets, revision notes, question banks, and mock tests when required.
  • Support development of basic skills such as reading, writing, problem solving, and logical thinking (especially for primary level students).
  • Follow the teaching guidelines and academic structure provided by the Institute of Neuro Development.
  • Participate in internal academic meetings or training sessions if required.

Required Skills:

  • Educational Background:

  • Teaching Experience:
    Prior experience in teaching, tutoring, or academic support (school, coaching centre, or private tutoring) will be preferred. Freshers with good academic knowledge and strong teaching aptitude can also apply.

  • Communication Proficiency:
    Good communication skills in English and Bengali are required to effectively teach students and coordinate with parents and institute staff. Basic Hindi communication ability will be considered an added advantage.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching Certification:
    B.Ed, D.El.Ed, or any teaching certification will be considered an added advantage.

  • Special Education Exposure (Optional)

Experience working with children having developmental delays, learning difficulties, ADHD, Autism Spectrum, or slow learning patterns will be highly valued (not mandatory).

  • Activity Based Teaching Experience:
    Experience in using interactive teaching methods such as worksheets, learning activities, visual tools, or concept-based learning approaches.
  • Basic Understanding of Child Development:
    Knowledge of basic child psychology or learning behavior will be beneficial.
  • Digital Skills (Optional):
    Basic computer knowledge or familiarity with digital learning resources will be considered a plus.
  • Teaching & Mentoring Ability:
    Capability to explain concepts in a simple, structured, and engaging manner. Should be able to guide students academically and motivate them to improve performance.
  • Effective Communication Skills:
    Ability to clearly explain topics, listen to student doubts, and communicate progress updates professionally to parents and management.
  • Time Management Skills:
    Ability to plan lessons, divide attention between two students, complete syllabus targets, and effectively utilize the assigned teaching hours.
  • Problem Solving Approach:
    Ability to identify student learning difficulties and provide alternative teaching methods to improve understanding and retention.
  • Child Handling Ability:
    Must be calm, patient, and emotionally balanced while dealing with young children. Ability to manage different learning speeds and behaviors in a positive manner.
  • Adaptability:
    Ability to modify teaching methods depending on student needs, academic level, and learning challenges.
  • Observation Skills:
    Ability to identify weak areas, behavioral patterns, and academic improvement needs through regular interaction.
  • Preferred Qualifications (Optional):

  • B.Ed or teaching certification.
  • Experience working with children with developmental or learning challenges.
  • Experience in activity-based learning methods.
