Description
Lead floor service for restaurant/bar/banquets; uphold sequence-of-service and brand standards
- Plan shifts: staffing levels, station assignments, breaks; run pre-shift briefings
- Train, coach, and performance-manage FOH team; onboard new hires
- Monitor guest experience; resolve complaints; authorize comps/discounts per policy
- Oversee opening/closing procedures, cash handling, bank drops, till audits, and EOD reports
- Manage POS (voids, promos, menu updates); ensure accurate reconciliation
- Control inventory and ordering for beverage and disposables; maintain pars, track waste/COGS
- Coordinate with kitchen and bar on pacing, coursing, specials, and allergen requests
- Enforce health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol-service compliance (e.g., ServSafe/TIPS); conduct line checks
- Maintain grooming/uniform standards and a clean, safe dining/bar environment
- Support private dining/events: review BEOs, set-up, staffing, execution, teardown
- Manage labor to targets; approve timecards; minimize overtime; adjust on-the-fly to volume
- Maintain equipment and facilities; log and follow up on maintenance tickets
- Compile shift reports (sales, labor %, comps/voids, incidents) and communicate to management
