Responsibilities
- Measure and prepare ingredients according to recipes and instructions
- Follow recipes accurately, ensuring consistency in taste, texture, and appearance of baked goods.
- Assist with food handling and storage procedures
- Follow food safety standards and guidelines
- Collaborate with cooks and chefs to ensure efficient workflow
-Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, including mixers, to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Track and manage inventory of baking supplies and ingredients, including restocking as needed.
-Assist in packaging finished products for display or delivery, ensuring they meet presentation standards.
-Monitor the quality of ingredients and finished products, making adjustments as necessary to meet quality standards.
-Interact with customers, if required, to hand off orders and answer any questions
-Maintain a clean and organized workspace adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines to prevent contamination (including washing dishes and mopping floors at the end of the day)
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment and/or baking experience is a plus
- Knowledge of basic culinary techniques and food safety practices (Food handlers license required, but if you don't have one you can get one before your first day)
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and a team player mentality
- Willingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staff
- Positive attitude
