Description
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and enhance enterprise-wide data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and processes.
- Lead data governance initiatives across business and technology teams within the banking environment.
- Define and manage data ownership, data stewardship, metadata management, data lineage, and data quality controls.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal governance standards.
- Drive data management best practices across BFSI-related systems and platforms.
- Manage and coordinate cross-functional teams, project timelines, and governance activities.
- Work closely with business, data, risk, compliance, and IT teams to align governance strategies with organizational objectives.
- Support enterprise data transformation and modernization programs.
- Provide strategic guidance on data governance tools, technologies, and operating models.
Requirements:
- Senior/Expert-level experience in Data Governance, Data Management, or related domains.
- Strong experience in Banking/Financial Services domain; experience working with BFSI data is highly preferred.
- Proven experience in managing teams, stakeholders, projects, and technology initiatives.
- Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, data quality, metadata management, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience working in large-scale enterprise or banking transformation projects is preferred.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent English communication skills (both verbal and written).

- Experience working with enterprise data governance platforms/tools.
- Knowledge of banking regulations, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and highly regulated environment.
