The Role

Responsible for the provision of accurate and timely revenue and roaming related accounts and analytical reports. Ensure the accuracy, correctness and compliance to established practices of all accounting transactions within the area of authority.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities- Oversee the collation, processing of data and the production of reports within the scope.

  • Verifying & timely follow up with the BI, Business Support & Control System (BSCS), Retail Activation System (RAS) versus General Ledger (GL) reconciliation and billing values.
  • Maintain data history with trend analysis.
  • Make necessary arrangements for new revenue stream / product for GL mapping accounting process.
  • Co-ordinate with BI, Technology for revenue management issues.
  • Evaluate revenue sharing agreement with vendors. Do the necessary documents filing and appropriate reconciliation.
  • Responsible for all correspondences and issues.
  • Verify the accuracy of information / data processed, identify issues and take corrective action to resolve problems in the area of responsibility. Monitor and assess the need for changes to the financial processes and procedures and assist in the preparation of proposals to make those changes.
  • Manage interconnect accounting, reconciliation and reports. Interaction with NMTC (National Mobile Telecommunications Company) entities regarding raising invoices and follow up of payment.
  • Identify and undertake investigation into discrepancies or shortages of information / data and either take action or report issues to the Head of Accounts.
  • Advise Head of Accounts of any significant deviation from established process or any procedural default to take appropriate action on time.
  • Provide analysis and summaries of information to auditors with appropriate analysis, trend analysis and reasons as directed ensuring key issues brought to the attention of Head of Accounts.
  • Ensure timely completion of revenue accounts for the month closing.
  • Proactively participate in the systems implementation and ensure compliance to the same by the end user.
  • Maintain a comprehensive & effective system of financial controls and recording mechanisms, making full use of the Ooredoo Telecom's information technology capabilities
  • Ensure the accuracy, correctness and compliance to established practices of all accounting transactions within the area of authority.
  • Activities are planned and carried out within the scope of well defined policies and procedures and in strict accordance with Ooredoo customer service policies.
  • Perform the monthly roaming accounting, settlements, reconciliation of AR module with GL including the bank reconciliations
  • Co-ordinate with Technology for necessary reports and additional reports as and when required.
  • Identify discrepancies and omissions in standard reports/financial data and ensure they are corrected or referred to the department Manager.
  • Prepare standard reports and compare the output to ensure high standard of accounting transaction.
  • Provide analysis and summaries of information as directed ensuring key issues brought to the attention of Head of Accounts.
  • Supervise the work of direct reports to ensure they meet their objectives, are kept motivated and perform in accordance with their job description.
  • Undertake regular on the job training to ensure that direct reports have the necessary skills to undertake new or existing responsibilities.
  • Delegate responsibility to direct reports, in accordance with their role and ability, to ensure they are developed and maximise their potential.
  • Proactively take responsibility for self improvement by staying well-informed of developments, knowledge and innovations in relevant field of expertise.
  • Other duties as directed by Head of Accounts or other superiors.
  • Coordinate with Roaming Settlement House on periodic basis for resolving all the issues related to collections.

Qualifications:
Graduate degree in accounting with an appropriate registration with a recognised professional institute.
