Description
Responsible for overseeing all data privacy and protection matters. The DPO ensures full compliance with Oman's Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and the CBO Open Banking Regulatory Framework, serving as the company's primary accountability point for customer data governance.
Key responsibilities include designing and maintaining the customer consent management architecture, enforcing data retention and cross-border transfer policies, leading data breach response, and managing customer data rights requests. The DPO owns all data protection policies, oversees data processing agreements with third-party providers, and acts as the primary liaison with the Central Bank of Oman and Ministry of TICT on all data protection matters. The role also includes running internal privacy training and conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments for new products and features.
