Job Title: Class 5 Truck Driver
Location: Taupo, Waikato, New Zealand 3330

Employment type: Permanent Full-Time
Minimum guaranteed hours of work Per week: 30
Days Required: Monday to Saturday (flexible hours)
Hourly rate: Between $32-$35 per hour based on skills and experience
We are currently looking for Two Truck Drivers to join us. You must be committed and reliable. Right attitude is key to succeeding in this role.
Drive and operate trucks
Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
Hand unloading
Transporting and delivering goods in a safe, timely manner
Ensuring goods are strapped down correctly and removed safely
Confirm that the contents of each load match the manifest document
Plan routes and ensure timely transport and delivery
Communicate with dispatch as needed
Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods)
Notify of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered
Inspecting goods for damage and complete incident reports for the manager
Log Books to be completed accurately in full & submitted timely
Pre-checks of vehicle before each trip - including oil, water, fuel, air pressure levels are in line with road safety and vehicle safety standards
Ensure truck is kept clean and tidy and carry out minor maintenance
Follow correct safety procedures
Comply with all traffic laws at all times
Clean & Current Class 5 Driver License with Dangerous goods
Minimum 6 months driving experience
Physically fit to be able to lift heavy loads manually
Pass the drug and alcohol tests
No criminal records
Clean driving record (No previous Driving incidents) and commitment to safety
Availability of work required: Monday to Sunday, Day and Night shifts, Weekend availability and you may be required to work during public holidays
Be able to work in conditions that may be stressful, including poor weather and Heavy Traffic
Mechanically minded would be an advantage
Have a positive, enthusiastic attitude with a strong results-focused work ethic
Time management skills and ability to work unsupervised
Have understanding of Health & Safety & Logbook requirements
Willingness to follow standard operating procedures
