About the role
National Resource OHL team across Scotland
In this role, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining high voltage overhead power transmission lines, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality and productivity are achieved at all times.
You will work on a variety of projects delivering critical energy infrastructure across the Country
What you'll be doing
- Assist in the installation, build and refurbishment of overhead power lines (up to 400kV)
- Work as part of an operational team to deliver works safely, efficiently and to programme.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, method statements and risk assessments
- Maintain site safety standards and carry out daily risk assessments
- Ensure all work is completed to high quality standards
- Support reporting of accidents, incidents and near misses
- Demonstrate safe use of tools, plant, PPE and OHL equipment including lifting, rigging and climbing activities
Who we're looking for
Essential:
- Experience or knowledge within the Power / Overhead Lines industry
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work at height and in physically demanding environments
- Strong commitment to health & safety
- Team player with good communication skills
- Flexibility to travel and work across England & Wales
Desirable:
- OHL authorisations
- Plant tickets
- Experience across construction/infrastructure projects
- Emergency First Aid at Work
