Responsibilities:

  • Be a team player, while believing in the team and its goals, bringing a flexible positive attitude and increasing morale and productivity;
  • Maintain the required infrastructure supporting the team's data pipelines;
  • Evaluate business needs and objectives, while working closely as a team with data engineers and different stakeholders, to deliver world class data driven solutions and value;
  • Participate in meetings, voicing concerns alongside suggestions for improvement;
  • Develop and structure storytelling presentations to different stakeholders that provide identified analytical insights through clean, concise, and well-organized speech;
  • Develop, deploy and maintain data pipelines that will ingest and process raw information from different sources and store the output data to power Talkdesk's data analytics solutions;
  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques, providing ongoing reports;
  • Interpret trends and patterns, while building algorithms and prototypes and conducting complex data analysis and respective reports;
  • Collaborate with data engineers to design and develop scalable ETL processes;
  • Monitor data pipelines and underlying systems enhancing their data quality and reliability.

Required Skills:

  • Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics or similar field;
  • Previous experience as a data analyst or in a similar role;
  • Hands-on experience with SQL/NoSQL database design and respective querying language e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL, ScyllaDB, Snowflake or MongoDB;
  • Experience with programming languages e.g. Python or R;
  • Analytical knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages to analyze and drive insights to answer business needs with data and visualizations;
  • Great numerical and analytical skills e.g. data mining and segmentation techniques;
  • Experience with Data visualization tools e.g. Looker, Tableau, Power BI or Microstrategy;
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Nice to have / Pluses:

  • Experience in data modeling and respective Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) processes;
  • Experience in Agile development methodology/Scrum;
  • Familiarity with data pipelines orchestration tools e.g. Apache Airflow, Autosys or dbt.
