Vestas Power Solutions is an independent business unit within Vestas Wind Systems A/S responsible for product design including full profit and loss accountability for our products. Through innovation, development and continuous product improvement we develop the products and technologies that reduce the cost of energy and bring the highest possible value to our customers. The Hub module, as a part of the Vestas Power Solutions, is responsible for delivering innovative hub units into the wind turbines of the future.
The Hub module Technical Management Team is responsible for transforming product requirements into Hub design and solutions together with the technical teams within the HUB module
Responsibilities
As a module technical lead you main area of responsibility is to clarify the technical scope of a Hub project and deliver the design and solutions in close coordination with the project manager and the design departments.
- Receive product requirements and break down into module requirements
- Identify technical risks and implement mitigation strategies together with the Project Manager and the technical team
- Evaluate scope change requests with respect to technical risk, competence needs/gap and impact on project/product targets
- Prepare and implement peer and technical reviews and approve the content delivered in the work packages within those reviews
- Ensure that our processes are followed along the entire value chain, and you contribute to a continuous improvement of our processes and way of working as well
- Run feasibility studies and prepare for technology project either handled by you or someone else from the team
Qualifications
You have minimum Master's Degree in Mechanical engineering, Mechatronics engineering, electrical engineering or similar from an accredited university
You have proven experience in working with mechanical and electrical components and systems (7+ years of experience)
You have A good fundamental engineering understanding within areas such Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Hardware and preferable overall understanding of Turbines operation

- Six sigma and lean tools
