MISSION

The National Sales Manager for the BU retail & Specialty is in charge of the formulation, coordination and realization of the commercial and operational sales policy as well as the sales strategy, as part of the business plan on short, medium and long term. The National Sales Manager does this in collaboration with the BU Head and the Head Commercial Excellence.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Ensure the identification and realization of new business opportunities for making strategic choices within the product portfolio.
  • With regard to the strategic positioning in the medium and long term the independent development and realization of business goals and their strategies by:

  • Developing and identifying commercially attractive business opportunities
  • Driving performance and results within the Sales Department on both established portfolio and new launches
  • Presenting industry-relevant information and trends within different internal/external groups. Transfer of knowledge, planning and insights, as well as motivating various (policy-) views and decisions.
  • Maintaining and developing customer relations and contacts with associations.
  • Managing people in accordance with the defined standards and values of Sandoz:

  • Executing the Sandoz personnel policy and using the HR tools

  • Ensuring each associate has a development plan with the objective of developing knowledge, skills, competences, desired behaviors and values and securing internal talent pipeline;
  • Defining the objectives for the sales department in close collaboration with the Commercial Excellence department and the BU head;

Minimum requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Master degree in Economics or equivalent
  • Minimum 6-10 years experiences sales.
  • Good understanding of Gx industry
  • Market knowledge & Planning: Sensitive to global market dynamics
  • Used to interact with commercial excellence, marketing, market access, finance, supply chain and HR

  • Fluent in Dutch, French & English
