Purchasing Manager

FUNCTIONS:
Collaborate for the achievement of the economic, quality, service purchasing targets and project teams objectives. Manage all assigned suppliers and lead all purchasing activities for assigned projects. Lead the purchasing team.
Key functions
Define the introduction of the methodology in the project's Purchasing function.
Guarantee the components standardization in the corresponding step of the Idneo development System.
Define the necessary mechanisms in order to get suppliers' contribution to the project teams.
Provide his/her team with the necessary means to comply with Health & Safety and Environment rules and assure they are properly used.
Actively cooperate with the Department in the maintenance, promotion and improvement of Occupational
Safety and Health (OSH) and Environment.

Responsibilities:
Impact: High. Deep impact to economic level to the whole business unit or may legally compromise / damage the image of the organization
Internal and External Relations: The main internal interaction of the Purchasing Manager is with the team of buyers who report directly to her/him and also with BU Manager and Project Managers in order to align purchasing strategies for new & actual projects. Externally the main interaction of Purchasing Manager are actual o future providers in order to align them with prices and also with our purchasing strategy.
Competences
Academic background: University Engineering Degree in Engineering or Economics
Additional training: Management Skills, MBA desirable
Languages: English (Advanced Level)
Minimum Experience required: 5 years in a similar position in a multinational company
Adaptation period: 1.5 - 2 years
Leading
Leading approx : from 3 to 20 employees
Complexity
Problem solving that requires global vision, strategy and specialization.
Usual work indoors with frequent exits to the outside or with the presence of some element of discomfort with high intensity
Action needed
Ensure the fulfillment of the Purchasing function at a global level at all stages of the Idneo development System.
Ensure the fulfillment of the projects’ profitability objectives with the corresponding Target Cost/ Target Profit (TC/TP).
Participate in the Purchasing Committees, Suppliers Assignment Committees and RPR (Regional Project Review) meetings
Manage the team guaranteeing effectiveness, development and motivation
