About the job

  • Perform tasks allocated mainly to the Capital Markets activities, where Subject Matter Streams provides services for the Corporate and Institutional Banking, ALM Treasury, Securities Services and Personal Finance entities.
  • Financial Analysts will contribute on the intercompany reconciliation process for the Group BNP Paribas, the BNP Paribas SA statutory financial statements and the Sub Groups, facilitating the accounting community.

Your Main Activities Are

  • Secure the data quality and completeness as an entity contributor
  • Analyse, reconcile and solve intercompany discrepancies for a determinate scope of entities
  • Ensure the audit trail and the controls requested Produce synthesis on intra-group reconciliation to be communicated to accounting community
  • Ensure the update in regular basis of the procedures of the tasks
  • Perform quarterly financial closing for the financial instruments followed (Derivatives, Bonds, Issuer bonds, Equities, Commodities, Clearing and Custody Fees )
  • Perform the P&L, Off-balance sheet and Balance Sheet reconciliation based on accounting data from middle-offices on her / his perimeter
  • Provide assistance in responding to questions from the external auditors, Operations, and other support groups
  • Assist in identifying operational process improvements in production, control procedures, and workflow organization to increase the team’s efficiency and effectiveness

Profile and Skills to Success

  • BSc degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 2-4 years of experience in Finance within the Banking sector (Financial Accounting, Reporting, Business/financial analysis), including audit and consultancy firms
  • Experience of working in an international environment appreciated
  • Fluency in English
  • Excel proficiency (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF)
  • Knowledge on Market activities and Financial instruments
  • Working knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, both in IFRS and French GAAP (an asset)
  • Effective analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Self-starter and team player, able to work independently and collaboratively with various teams in a deadline-focused environment
