Visual Experience Department

We’re a creative and hands-on team specialising in Visual Design, Visual Production and Visual Merchandising. Translating the Browns vision into visual experiencesin our boutiques, we dream, design and create experiences for the senses, from immersive rooms to window displays and so much more.

London

Our London Head Office is based on Old Street, London’s tech hub, home to a broad range of teams including Ecommerce, Tech & Product, Brand Engagement, Buying, Merchandising and People. Our open plan space is ideal for collaborative working and sharing ideals, or you can enjoy some quiet time in our dedicated library. We also have a large outdoor terrace which is the perfect spot to have a team lunch or host events. We also have homes in the form of our retail boutiques, Browns Brook Street in Mayfair, and Browns East in Shoreditch.




The Role

The Visual Experience Assistant is a hybrid role which combines elements of production and visual merchandising. Reporting into the Visual Production Manager, you will often be field based and will work on production projects in the office, in store, at home and other locations as required.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • You will assist the Visual Production Coordinator and Visual Production Manager with the production of installations in store. This will include arranging logistics, accepting deliveries and prepping stock to ensure deadlines are met.
  • You will build and maintain good working relationships with production agencies and vendors for props and supplies and will build your black book of contacts in the industry.
  • You will provide on-site in store support to assist the production team to take measurements, meet suppliers and oversee works by contractors. You will also support the set up and deinstallation of events and shoots.
  • You will consider sustainability wherever possible, including researching sustainable materials and innovative build and recycling/waste processes.
  • You will research creative culture and identify key creatives and artists that we can partner with for in store displays.
  • You will help to design and produce props for visual merchandising and keep a log of tools and equipment.
  • You will ensure visual merchandising guidelines are followed in store and by the retail team and will maintain luxury standards.

WHO YOU ARE

  • You are proficient in Google Suite (or similar).
  • You are highly organised, detail oriented and able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • You are creative with a good eye for design.
  • You have an interest in fashion/retail as well as culture or art.
  • You act for the greater good of all teams, even when it’s beyond your area of expertise. You also foster positive actions in those around you and celebrate our shared achievements.
