Position Summary This role has the mission to establish a strong Market Demand Planning process and lead the development of the Market Demand Plan providing insights as well for new business opportunities to improve commercial plans and drive growth. Our client has a strong need to setup a robust Market Demand Review process, ensuring demand forecasting is performed with an unconstrained mindset, supported on statistical methodologies and fact-based assumptions, and complemented with a view on opportunities and vulnerabilities that help drive business growth and financial performance. Key responsibilities Drive the monthly Demand Review process for the Market to deliver unconstrained demand forecasts, supported on solid assumptions and including opportunities & vulnerabilities. Facilitate the review with all stakeholders, identifying gaps between plans and agreed budget/objectives/strategy, and proposing possible changes to plans and assumptions when required Collaborate with the local Sales and Marketing teams and other stakeholders to define the Market Demand Plan. Document assumptions underlying the demand plan and highlight key changes from prior plans. Drive the understanding of forecast changes including main drivers (volume, price, competition, etc.) Drive gap closure vs. operational & financial targets through management of opportunities & vulnerabilities Ensure demand forecast is accurately reflected in ERP and any other relevant systems/tools. Ensure all aspects of the plan are reconciled and issues escalated to the Global Demand Review process Proactively inform the cross-functional business teams through Integrated Business Planning Provide process capability and expert support to those accountable for demand plans Drive reduction of forecast bias and improvement of forecast mix through application of statistical models and other forecasting methods Ensure performance vs. demand plan is reviewed and KPI's are monitored (forecast bias and forecast accuracy); identifying improvement opportunities and driving forward appropriate actions Challenge as-is ways of working and drive continuous improvement in process, tools and organization Requisties Degree in science, business or technical Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Demand Planner/Manager role within an S&OP/IBP environment; with proven capability to establish and improve Demand Planning processes Knowledge of forecasting methodologies Knowledge of supply planning processes Strong business acumen Analytical skills Ability to see the big picture and drill down to details when required Process & systems affinity Experience with demand planning software (Anaplan, SAP/APO, Oracle or similar) Advanced in English language Spanish & French desirable Interpersonal skills: Comfortably communicating and acting with different levels and stakeholders Cross-functional collaboration Positive and “can-do” attitude with “hands-on” personality Resilient and willing to challenge the status quo and drive improvement
