Description
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of player conditioning, fitness, and development.
- Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for the club's football teams.
- Work closely with coaches and physiotherapists to identify weaknesses in player performance and develop personalized training regimes.
- Monitor players' progress and performance, adjusting training plans as needed.
- Conduct regular testing to track player progress, highlighting areas for improvement.
- Manage the club's sports science team, ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards.
- Research industry developments and innovations to ensure the club remains at the forefront of player performance.
Requirements:
- At least 8 years' experience working in a professional football environment.
- A bachelor's degree or higher in sports science, sport management, exercise science, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of football-specific performance training.
- Excellent communication skills, able to work effectively with coaches, players, and support staff.
- Experience managing a team of sports science professionals.
- Experience with data analysis and tracking player performance metrics.
- Flexibility to work outside of regular office hours, including weekends and evenings during the football season.
