Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of player conditioning, fitness, and development.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for the club's football teams.
  • Work closely with coaches and physiotherapists to identify weaknesses in player performance and develop personalized training regimes.
  • Monitor players' progress and performance, adjusting training plans as needed.
  • Conduct regular testing to track player progress, highlighting areas for improvement.
  • Manage the club's sports science team, ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards.
  • Research industry developments and innovations to ensure the club remains at the forefront of player performance.

Requirements:

  • At least 8 years' experience working in a professional football environment.
  • A bachelor's degree or higher in sports science, sport management, exercise science, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of football-specific performance training.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to work effectively with coaches, players, and support staff.
  • Experience managing a team of sports science professionals.
  • Experience with data analysis and tracking player performance metrics.
  • Flexibility to work outside of regular office hours, including weekends and evenings during the football season.
