A business passionate about making a difference to the communities they serve, these community gardens are poised to offset over 3bn pounds of burnt coal over their lifetimes, that's the same as planting 50+ million trees!

With over a decade of experience within this space, our client is seeking to expand their offering in new markets in order to bring community solar and its benefits to more and more customers.

The Role

As the Development Director, you will be responsible for building the go to market strategy, land acquisition strategy and hiring plan for the organization’ development arm.

Responsibilities will also include:
Recruit and nurture the team to achieve targets set out in your development plan
Work with the internal and external engineering and GIS teams to set achieve project milestones
Work closely with utilities to manage the connection process
Liaise with local agencies to secure land permits and construction approvals
Monitor changing legislation or regulation to assess how it may change developments
Prepare project budgets and manage project costs/risksAbout you

In order to be successful in this role, you will need to find purpose in pursuing project milestones and developing a team. You will be someone that enjoys being out of the office and speaking with landowners and utility companies, consistently seeking to solve problems.

5+ years experience across community solar development
A proven relationship builder across various stakeholder groups
A confident communicator and influencer with the ability to share the benefits of community solar
