Title: After Dark Program Teachers in Automotive Technology, Health Assisting, Metal
Fabrication, Support Services & Networking, and Advanced Manufacturing
Description Teach the following Vocational Technical Education Framework Strands
- Strand One: Safety and Health Knowledge
- Strand Two: Technical Standards Knowledge and Skills
- Strand Three: Embedded Academics
- Strand Four: Employability
- Strand Five: Management and Entrepreneurship
- Strand Six: Technology
SALARY: $50.00/hour Working with Students
$29.10 Prep Time
PROGRAM TIME: Monday through Friday, 3:00 to 5:45pm
WORK SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday, 3:00 to 6:15pm
Start Date: September 2, 2025 End Date: June 12, 2026

- Responsible to the District-Wide Director of Chapter 74 Technical Programs; work
collaboratively with district level administrators. - Conduct classes for qualifying students in your specific content area and provide
additional assistance to students as needed. - Work with the content area Directors in implementing the After Dark Program.
- Knowing the MA Curriculum Frameworks for the content area applying; Automotive
Technology, Health Assisting, Metal Fabrication, Cosmetology, Support Services &
Networking, and Advanced Manufacturing. - Ensure that direct teacher instructional support is being provided to all students (general
education, special education, 504, ELL) - Provide grade assignments and prompt, frequent, ongoing, and consistent instructional
feedback to students. - Maintain and record student grades and ensure that these are submitted to the Director,
Building Principal, and Guidance Department so that student grades are updated in
PowerSchool. - Work collaboratively to maintain and record attendance records in PowerSchool.
- Hold family and student conferences when needed.

address issues of student attendance and Program completion. - Manage and maintain attendance logs, enrollment roster; create and maintain student
folders. - Manage and maintain data, i.e. attendance, course completion, pre/post assessments,
progress, surveys, etc., to document the implementation of the Program. - Complete any other data requests and data reports as it relates to the successful
implementation of the Program. - Help supervise students during arrival and dismissal from the Program.
- Work collaboratively with the other members of the team to ensure that the Program is
successful. - Foster a positive learning environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certified or able to get certified in the content area(s) for which you are applying.
- Preference given to Putnam teachers, Unit A teachers, and SPS employees.
- Committed to quality instruction and implementation of curriculum standards with fidelity.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and other teachers.
- Understand the goals and requirements of the Common Core Standards.
