Fabrication, Support Services & Networking, and Advanced Manufacturing

Description Teach the following Vocational Technical Education Framework Strands

  • Strand Five: Management and Entrepreneurship
  • Strand Six: Technology

SALARY: $50.00/hour Working with Students

$29.10 Prep Time

PROGRAM TIME: Monday through Friday, 3:00 to 5:45pm

WORK SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday, 3:00 to 6:15pm

Start Date: September 2, 2025 End Date: June 12, 2026

  1. Responsible to the District-Wide Director of Chapter 74 Technical Programs; work
    collaboratively with district level administrators.
  2. Conduct classes for qualifying students in your specific content area and provide
    additional assistance to students as needed.
  3. Work with the content area Directors in implementing the After Dark Program.
  4. Knowing the MA Curriculum Frameworks for the content area applying; Automotive
    Technology, Health Assisting, Metal Fabrication, Cosmetology, Support Services &
    Networking, and Advanced Manufacturing.
  5. Ensure that direct teacher instructional support is being provided to all students (general
    education, special education, 504, ELL)
  6. Provide grade assignments and prompt, frequent, ongoing, and consistent instructional
    feedback to students.
  7. Maintain and record student grades and ensure that these are submitted to the Director,
    Building Principal, and Guidance Department so that student grades are updated in
    PowerSchool.
  8. Work collaboratively to maintain and record attendance records in PowerSchool.
  9. Hold family and student conferences when needed.

    address issues of student attendance and Program completion.
  11. Manage and maintain attendance logs, enrollment roster; create and maintain student
    folders.
  12. Manage and maintain data, i.e. attendance, course completion, pre/post assessments,
    progress, surveys, etc., to document the implementation of the Program.
  13. Complete any other data requests and data reports as it relates to the successful
    implementation of the Program.
  14. Help supervise students during arrival and dismissal from the Program.
  15. Work collaboratively with the other members of the team to ensure that the Program is
    successful.
  16. Foster a positive learning environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certified or able to get certified in the content area(s) for which you are applying.
  • Preference given to Putnam teachers, Unit A teachers, and SPS employees.
  • Committed to quality instruction and implementation of curriculum standards with fidelity.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and other teachers.
  • Understand the goals and requirements of the Common Core Standards.
