Description
Job Purpose
To prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers in a professional, efficient, and friendly manner while maintaining high standards of customer service, hygiene, and stock control.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve drinks according to company standards and recipes.
- Provide excellent customer service to guests and patrons.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area at all times.
- Check customer identification to verify legal drinking age where applicable.
- Monitor customer behaviour and promote responsible alcohol consumption.
- Receive and process customer orders accurately.
- Handle cash, card payments, and operate the point-of-sale system.
- Replenish bar stock and notify management of low stock levels.
- Ensure glasses, utensils, and bar equipment are cleaned and properly stored.
- Follow all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Assist with stock taking and inventory control.
- Work closely with waiters and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service delivery.
Minimum Requirements
- Previous experience as a barman/bartender.
- Knowledge of beverages, cocktails, and bar operations.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and during shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Good numerical and cash-handling skills.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
