Bartender

Job Purpose

To prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers in a professional, efficient, and friendly manner while maintaining high standards of customer service, hygiene, and stock control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve drinks according to company standards and recipes.
  • Provide excellent customer service to guests and patrons.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area at all times.
  • Check customer identification to verify legal drinking age where applicable.
  • Monitor customer behaviour and promote responsible alcohol consumption.
  • Receive and process customer orders accurately.
  • Handle cash, card payments, and operate the point-of-sale system.
  • Replenish bar stock and notify management of low stock levels.
  • Ensure glasses, utensils, and bar equipment are cleaned and properly stored.
  • Follow all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
  • Assist with stock taking and inventory control.
  • Work closely with waiters and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service delivery.

Minimum Requirements

  • Previous experience as a barman/bartender.
  • Knowledge of beverages, cocktails, and bar operations.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and during shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Good numerical and cash-handling skills.
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.
