We are looking for a M & E Specialist who is an analytical thinker who can interpret quantitative and qualitative data to share relevant insights for programming and grant performance. This person will have the ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams as well as work independently, effectively and efficiently.
The purpose of this position is to contribute to the success of CapaCiTi by playing a senior role in project management through driving accurate and systematic performance and impact measurement. Oversee and drive the monitoring and evaluation function of CapaCiTi, including data and information flow by providing expertise in M & E planning and methodology.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide expertise to all tasks relating to data collection and insights, collaborating with all relevant team members and ensuring that data is gathered in an accurate, evidenced and usable

format.

  • Develop CapaCiTi data reputation by providing high quality data insights on time and with accuracy.
  • Analyze quantitative and/or qualitative data, summarize findings and disseminate evaluation findings and project results to funders and other stakeholders.
  • Lead initiatives on market demand research and evaluation as well as create output reports that drive innovation in the Youth training and employment sector.
  • Develop an M & E plan that determine performance and impact indicators and targets
  • Provide input to high-level communication, proposals, presentations and reports using data.
  • Identify trends in existing data and consider implications of these to CapaCiTi, raising risk concerns to the team as soon as they are identified.
  • Data team management as appropriate.
  • Any other ad hoc duties assigned by management and or leadership.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • A tertiary qualification - degree or equivalent desirable.
  • Monitoring and evaluation related qualification preferred.

Preferred Skills

  • Extensive experience and a proven track record of managing and implementing robust M & E systems.
  • Experience in the NPO sector.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in programme monitoring and evaluation.
  • At least 3 years’ leadership experience.
  • Advanced level computer skills with work experience using data management systems and MS Office, in particular MS Excel and database software. This position requires sound data

management.
