We are looking to hire a hard-working and efficient line cook to prepare Asian cuisine and assist with various kitchen duties at Upscales casual F& B Outlet in Abu Dhabi.
To be successful as a cook, you should demonstrate excellent organizational skills and ensure that all duties are completed in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the kitchen is set up with cooking utensils and equipment for the shift operation
- Study each recipe and gather all necessary ingredients
- Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
- Keep a sanitized and orderly the environment in the kitchen
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Monitor food stock and place orders
- Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items
- Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
Requirements:Experience in using cutting tools, cookware, and bakeware
- Proven experience as Cook / Commis
- Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods especially in Wok, Grill, and Fryer
- Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
- Ability to work in a team
- Very good communication skills in English
- Diploma from a culinary school will be an advantage
