What is your team about?

The Casual Data Team is a centralized structure made up of industry veterans whose mission is to set up an efficient and rigorous analytical framework and toolset to support multiple studios and ambitious projects to drive the growth of Casual Games at Voodoo.

The data team plays a critical role in shaping the success of our games by identifying successful and underperforming patterns and communicating both results and recommendations to our stakeholders. We always seek to improve every piece of our complex analytical stack, from data collection to analytical methods and business impact.

We give all team members ownership of their projects while ensuring they have the right tools and support to grow both personally and professionally.

What will be your main challenges?

We are looking for an Analytics Engineer who is passionate about business analytics, data transformation and automation. As part of our Data Casual Central Team, you will have full ownership of the top layer of our data stack with the objective of empowering business teams and analysts to easily and quickly retrieve insights on a daily basis. If you are business driven, data-savvy and comfortable with coding, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
Implement and maintain a scalable process for data transformation inside our data warehouse

  • Work with business teams to understand their data needs
  • Work closely with the data engineering team and contribute to their roadmap
  • Manage our data visualisation environment (current tool: Tableau)
  • Help automate business analysis

With this role you will have a strong impact on the business by empowering business teams and analysts to retrieve insights quickly and easily on a daily basis.

What do we expect?:

  • Engineering / Computer science background
  • Fluent in Python & SQL
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience building ETLs in a SQL-like environment (2+ years)
  • Proven ability to quickly learn a new language/framework
  • Ability to understand business needs and design long-lasting technical solutions to address them
  • Team worker mindset

Nice to have:

  • Previous experience in building and maintaining a data warehouse
  • Good understanding of AWS technologies (Redshift, Spectrum...)
  • Experience using SQL-oriented ETL frameworks such as DBT
  • Experience with Tableau and Airflow
