Basic Function

Special Benefits Coordinator ensures availability of special benefits for JHAH patients and coordinates the work of Special Benefits Specialists.

Scope

Special Benefits Coordinator is responsible for special benefits like wheelchairs, commode chairs, syringe pumps, suction pumps etc.

Special Benefits Coordinator coordinates with Purchasing, Inventory, Warehousing and Logistics departments to arrange ordering, storage and transportation of special benefits to JHAH clinical staff and maintain records of special benefit use and availability.

Principal Contacts

Special Benefits Coordinator reports to Manager, inventory management

Internal interactions:
Regularly with Special Benefits Specialists to guide and direct their work

Regularly with JHAH clinical staff to handle requests for special benefits

Regularly with Tactical Buyers, Inventory Coordinators, Internal Logistics Coordinators and Warehouse Coordinators to arrange special benefits ordering, storage and logistics

Principal Duties

Main duties are as following:
Special benefits inventory

Maintain the records of special benefits available in storage areas and their location

Ensure that designated safety stock of special benefits items is always available

Maintain the record of all special benefits items given on a loan basis and prepare a weekly report to Inventory Manager

Handling special benefits requests

Ensure fulfillment of special benefits requests from JHAH clinical staff

Coordinate with Purchasing in case an expedited purchase requisition is required

to provide special benefits to patients

Coordinate processing of Asset Change Requests (ACRs) for special benefits items

Other

Attend routine organizational and department meetings.

Meet established department KPI, SLA and individual annual goals and metrics.

Maintain all safety and security measures per organizational policies

Education
Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain

or equivalent level of education
Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement organizations and/or healthcare
Certifications/Other requirements as applicable
Working in a matrix team environment and cross functional projects

Fluent in English language written & spoken (Arabic language skills desirable)

Knowledge in SAP and/or equivalent system

Strong organizational and prioritization skills

Experience with various typical types of office equipment is required
