In this role, you will be reporting to Direct Category Sourcing Supervisor in Sourcing Operations function. You will lead and manage Thailand Direct Sourcing Operations to cover Packaging, Paper, Cloth & Fiber direct material Sourcing. You will also be responsible for developing and executing of sourcing strategies for 3M Thailand to cover all these mentioned material direct category sourcing, leading cross-functional teams in the execution of sourcing initiatives end to end. You will create and develop strong working relationships with key internal and external partners and implement process improvements within the organization. You will ensure a competitive sourcing environment leading to continuous improvement, analyse market drivers, cost structures and support supplier initiatives including annual cost reductions. Your responsibilities also include and not limit to:
- Deployment and execution of Asia Category strategy
- Lead Thailand RFP for top spend in direct category sourcing
- Lead direct category supplier management (selection, rationalization and segmentation) in Thailand
- Lead on-going hopper filling for direct category sourcing
- Create and maintain category-specific knowledge assets and market intelligence that capture expertise / best practices and leverage the expertise / assets to deliver incremental cost reduction and drive significant client business value
- Align priorities with regional category team leads as well as country manufacturing and supply chain team
- Maintain strong compliance and policy adherence
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management (major in Supply Chain Operations is a plus)
- Strong knowledge material feedstock market in related to this responsible direct Sourcing category.
- 5 - 8 year of experience in direct sourcing and procurement which includes project-based and/or category-based sourcing
- Able to travel, as required
- Fluent in English for negotiation with suppliers on commercial terms and service level agreements.
- Strong analytical skills (i.e. cost modelling, quotation analysis, supplier selection)
- Self-motivated, able to perform role with mínimal supervision, taking ownership and demonstrate sense of urgency
- Strong leadership skills and team-player.
- Ability to be innovative in issues related to strategic sourcing, supplier relations.
- Excellent Presentation and influential skills.
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with internal customers and 3M suppliers to meet or exceed business objectives.
- Experience in multicultural environment.
