Job description:

  • Effective planning, construction and maintenance of fix plant and infrastructure
  • Effective implementation and administration of necessary systems
  • Manage budget control and forecasting
  • Support the overall business management of the project
  • Conduct risk analysis and mitigate quality management risks
  • Competent, motivated, disciplined and positive team
  • Effective self and team supervision in alignment with MRC values and leadership initiatives
  • Effective stakeholder engagements
  • Compliance with SHEQ, MRC and client standards, policies, procedures and safety protocols

Minimum requirements:

  • Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent
  • Section 26 Recognised/Equivalent Trade Certificate relating to Electrical LV and MV field
  • Proof of formal supervisory training in planning, Leading, Organising and control
  • MS Office proficient [Word, Excel& MS Projects-ability to plan & schedule]
  • Valid First aid Certificate (Essential, if not available, must obtain at on-boarding)
  • Valid EB Driver’s license
  • Good English verbal and written communication skills
  • Medically fit to work underground
  • At least 10 years practical experience in the mining industry, appointed in a legal position, 5 of which appointed as a GES in a legal position.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a Foreman supervisory level capacity
  • Experience in writing procedures from issue based risk assessments
  • At least 5 years practical experience on winders (preferred)
