Data Scientist - Medical Engineering
I'm recruiting for a seed phase start-up based in Oxford and London. A spin out of Oxford university, this organization is looking to be the authority for AI powered Drug Discovery. They use cutting edge ML, Engineering and Quantitative Development techniquesto change the way we see research into new medicines. Having just closed a seriously impressive fund raising round they are looking to grow their passionate team!
This role will see you working as a Data Scientist for medical engineering and data. You will ideally have a strong understanding of computer science and a high level grasp of writing solid, production level code. At the core of it, however, you will beworking in tandem with Quant developers, scientists and ML researchers to implement and productionise complex ML models and solutions. Having a really good understanding of databases, data structures and being able to take that understanding to a productionenvironment will be key. They use a mixture of computer vision, deep learning, NLP and neural networks, so familiarity and/or conceptual understanding of these will prove vital.
If the following sounds like you:
- 3+ Year's experience as a Data Scientist or in a Python engineering role
- Computer Science, Mathematics or related MSc/PhD
- Demonstrable experience of implementing complex data science solutions
- Familiarity in a life sciences environment/academic experience in chemistry or biology
- Knowledge of Neural Networks, NLP and/or Computer Vision
- Passion for making the world a better place
