Overview:
Responsibilities:

  • Act as an expert for all technical matters related to the WE/ GB pensions world
  • Keep up to date with developments in the WE/ GB pensions market, including new legislation and other factors that may impact work, and cascade knowledge by the team
  • Demonstrates sound grasp of complex methodologies & concepts - utilities, through technical review
  • Be an advocate for excellence and help consolidate a culture of continuous improvement
  • Carry out non-standard scheme benefit calculations and involvement in wider actuarial work

Qualifications required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, or a related field

Experience required:

  • At least 3 years’ experience doing core actuarial valuation work and/or actuarial consultancy
  • Capacity and desire to coach and upskill more junior members of the team
  • Inquisitive, self-starter attitude and ability to work with ambiguity and proactivity thinking outside of the box
