Data Steward - Trainee

Euronext is seeking a Data Steward - Trainee to be part of the Data Office team to evolve a single source of the truth business glossary and data lineage mappings for Euronext data assets.

Contribute to improvements in metadata management. Data lineage is the process of understanding, recording, and visualizing data as it flows from data sources to consumption. This includes all transformations the data underwent along the way—how the data was transformed, what changed, and why.

Key Accountabilities:

• Actively involved in the initiative of metadata management, through the maintenance and continuous implementation of the enterprise’ business glossary and data lineage, using a 3rd party tool;
• Work within and across teams to educate others on the processes and procedures in creating and maintaining metadata and lineage;
• Focus on automation to bring and improve productivity and to reduce time-consuming manual tasks.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

• Master/Degree in Information Management, Information Systems Management, or similar discipline;
• Strong understanding of databases and data structures;
• Good knowledge of SQL language;
• Experience with ETL jobs is a plus;
• Experience in document data lineage is a plus;
• Knowledge of Python language is a plus;
• Communication and relationship skills;
• Fluency in English.
